When the children were young we took them to lapland to see santa.  Personally I was more interested in the lights in the sky the Northern Lights to many.   
 
This was one of my first paintings after university.  I really enjoyed making this, I used layer upon layer of paint, painting with my hands and big broad brushes - I love the freedome and how loose the piece is. 
 
Great fun was had and the colours are really bold.
